Udens College

Our school has contacts with a number of schools abroad. The world is getting smaller and smaller, and the term "Global Village" has become a household word, due to the enormous growth in means of communication. In today's and tomorrow's information society the labour market, which is now often aimed at regional areas, will be much more Europe-oriented. Meanwhile an extensive network of schools has been built in Europe.

Udens College and gimnazija Šentvid organised the first exchange in schoolyear 2008-09. At that time the project was coordinated by Rien Geurts (on the right). Since 2009 Lisette Verstegen (front) has taken over the coordination of all exchange projects in our school. Pictured next to Rien Geurts is Jaka Erker, headmaster of gimnazija Šentvid.

Teachers recently involved in the Ljubljana-Uden exchange are Frank van Doremalen, Thijs Lavrijsen and Marjet Stamsnijder.

The program includes various activities in which students learn about their peers. Sketching a characteristic portrait of their exchange partner is one of the introduction assignments.
